Basic Muffin




Basic Muffin-Esther Brody

2 cups all purpose flour
4 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp granulated sugar- sy tambah lg 2tbsp
1 cup milk
3 tbsp melted butter or margarine

Preheat oven to 200 c
Muffin tin, lightly greased 

1. In a large bowl sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.Make a well in thee center.
2.In another bowl combine milk,beaten eggs and melted butter.Pour into dry ingredients.Mix just until blended, no more than 15 to 20 strokes.Do not overmix.
3.Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling two-thirds full.Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.

VARIATION.

-Apple Cinnamon Muffins : add 1 tsp(5ml) cinnamon,2 tbsp (25ml) butter and 1 1/2 cups {375ml} finely chopped apples.
-Cheese Muffins: add 1 cup (250ml) grates sharp cheese to dry ingredients
